Meet the Manton House “Extended Family”

We have 17 staff, 2 dogs and a lot of experience. A 3rd generation family run business of like minded, hard working, professional people.
Fran has worked at Manton House for 25 years following in her parent’s footsteps. Fran, along with her husband Neil, purchased the business when her parents’ retired. Fran has a strong sense of family and work values, and takes great pride in her motto of “We only go home when the jobs done”. Fran has 3 daughters, who are now starting on their own chosen paths in life, from studying to working. This 3rd generation all help out at Manton when required.
FACT: Fran volunteered with a local Deaf charity and can sign.
Neil is our “hands on” expert with each job, from initial quoting to making sure every item is printed correctly and delivered on time. He is affectionately called Mr Fix-it by his family and staff as he can usually mend any broken machine, which can hopefully mean no waiting around for engineers. If you want something a little different Neil will source it, make it or build it; creating your perfect product.
FACT: In his younger days Neil was a bit of an adventurer and traveller, even spending one summer picking tobacco in France.
Annette has worked for Manton House for over 15 years. She is a walking encyclopaedia of print jobs, her memory continues to amaze us every day. She combines this with the same ethos as her Directors resulting in making her one of Manton Houses’ best assets.
FACT: Annette reached her brown belt in Judo and was ranked number 3 in Northern Ireland.
Digital Printing Manager
John is our all-rounder, having worked in the majority of Manton House departments. His main roll is that of managing the digital printing services and pre-press output for the litho machines. Working alongside Glynn in the design studio, he also fulfills the role of additional designer and artworker. With all his experience, John can move to any department when needed, ensuring that all our deadlines are met.
FACT: In 2010 John completed an 81 mile bike ride to Skegness for Children in Need.
Graphic Designer/Web Developer
Glynn began his career in design and print, back in 1990 in a screen printers in Cardiff. Where he worked for 4 years before embarking on 5 years study to become a graphic deisgner. He has proficient skills in graphics and web design; from branding and literature, exhibition & vehicle graphics, to front & back end web development.
FACT: Glynn ran his first half marathon in 2016, raising money for “When You Wish Upon a Star”.
Laura will be answering your calls, dealing with any queries and is an integral part of our busy office environment.
FACT: Laura loves dogs and has 7 at home.
Mollie is one of Fran’s twin daughters, who’s key role is to ensure that incoming and outgoing invoices are correct and on point. As well as keeping a keen eye on the figures, she also has a level 3 beautician certificate.
FACT: Mollie is currently off on maternity leave with her first child.
Alongside Laura, Olivia helps ensure the running of the office goes as smooth as possible. Helping organise and control orders as they come in.
FACT: As a child, she used to live in Germany.
Debs is our fulfilment operative and is the queen of collating and dispatch. Having come from a packing background, we are proud to say she certainly is the fastest packer in the north… if not the UK!
FACT: When Debbie was 20 she saw Michael Jackson in concert and her boyfriend at the time arranged a surprise meet and greet for her.
Komori 5 colour B2 Press
Steve has now worked for Manton House for nearly two decades. He has a wealth of knowledge for litho and print finishing. Steve is extremely versatile and a great resource for our various print machines ensuring your job is always in safe hands.
FACT: Steve is a former boxer who also DJ’ed for nearly 10 years.
B3 Heidelberg Printmaster
Phil joined Manton House to run our B3 printer, but he is also an all-round helper – with experience in various departments. As well as printing, he can often be seen guillotining, packing, folding or binding booklets.
FACT: Phil is a member of both GNAS & NFAS archery clubs and owns his own Hoyt Contender compound bow.
Direct Mail Manager
Eric joined the Manton House team in 2015 – from a retail background – as an additional member of our warehouse team. Following a successful training programme Eric is now a Team Leader in our direct mail service department. He has continued responsibility in areas such as stock management, overseeing of all orders and despatching, along with deliveries, quality management and stock control.
FACT: Eric is a keen and talented footballer since first starting football at the age of 6. He played for Mansfield Town FC youth team between the ages of 11 and 13 and now plays on a semi-professional level.
Seth is a more recent member of staff, joining us from one of the UKs biggest, nationwide logistic companies. Seth is well adapted to working in a fast-paced warehousing facility. He thrives under pressure and the demands of a modern day, fully integrated warehouse and despatch department and is rapidly proving to be a key member of the team.
FACT: Seth is an avid motor cross fan and is a close family friend and occasional pit crew member of Chris Walker, “The Stalker”, the local Nottinghamshire motorcycle road racer well known for racing in both the British Superbike Championship and the Superbike World Championship.
“Uncle Barry” as he is affectionately known to us all, is our despatch guy. One of the nicest people you will ever meet, Barry always has a sunny smile to cheer us up. His calm manner gets the job done with efficiency and without stress.
FACT: Barry is happiest fishing and his biggest catch so far was a common carp at 21 lbs.
Andy is our longest serving staff member of the Manton House family, having completed 20 years. Andy oversees all our print finishing requirements and demands everything to be exactly right and up to our high Manton standards.
FACT: Andy is fanatical about Bruce Springsteen and has been to see him every time he has toured in the UK since 1985, over a dozen times and counting!
Mac is Steve’s son and joined our warehouse team. He has since displayed aptitude and a willingness to learn new skills and roles.
FACT: Mac attained a bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award during high school.
Admin Assistant/Warehouse Operative
Georgia is Fran’s other twin daughter, who studied Sport at Leeds University. However, whenever possible and when she’s not teaching, she is back at the family business fitting in where needed. Georgia has also been known to work all night to get a Manton job delivered on time.
FACT: Georgia is a qualified teacher and is currently applying herself to a Masters Degree in “Autism in Teenage Girls”.
The Office Dogs
AKA Harry Boy/Haribo
Harry is a gentle giant and has become Rosie’s older big brother. Where’s there’s one, there’s the other.
FACT: He once escaped from home and managed to walk 10 miles before finding a new temporary home.
Rosie is the wild child. She loves nothing more than getting into trouble by chewing sticks and making a mess.
FACT: Rosie has achieved platinum plus status at dog obedience school.
